Welcome!

My name is Mark Getto. I’m an aspiring game designer, video production enthusiast and all around nerd. Welcome to my world, I hope you enjoy the latest projects I’m tinkering with!

Multiverse Cat!

This is the project I’m particularly proud of and intend to continue working on until it is a fully playable game. The concept is a scientists cat accidentally opens a series of portals through the multiverse. They wander through as any curious kitty would and then are free to roam the multiverse. But if our hero Cat wants to return home, they must make it to the next portal before it closes or be a stray in the multiverse forever!

This was my first block mesh and level in unreal engine. Then I combined it with a group of other aspiring developers levels via perforce to create one seamless experience.

Learning to design in Unreal Engine!

I’m just getting started on my journey in the game design world, but I am very excited about my future in the field. I’m in the early stages of learning to build realistic immersive 3d worlds for players to enjoy and I am excited to learn more and share those creations with the world!

Data Driven Game

This was a school project at Full Sail; the goal was to add a mechanic to this tile based game created by the Game Design Program. It tracks the player pawn location in a grid of tiles. Each tile knows where it’s adjacent tiles are so that the player pawn moves across the tiles like a game board piece in a table top game, one space at a time. The mechanics I designed was similar to a pressure plate, or a “motion activated door.” check out how I pulled it off HERE! (YouTube Link)
